Let's see... I have a 1/4 sim parcel. There are only 3 neighbors. I figure being there is "an obvious violation of my personal space". More, why on earth do I care what "a person" encounters when they are trespassing on the land I pay for? They have no good reason for being there and lots of really bad reasons. I got a steady stream of "visitors" including one gent who convinced a young lady that my house was his in order to get some sex. Yeah, you know what I think of the rights of trespassers? I think they don't have any beyond what LL dictates. After that, *poof* they're gone. Edited February 29, 2020 by Damian Mills
Lindal Kidd
Damian's attitude is not uncommon. And he's perfectly within his rights to put up ban lines, security orbs, or man-eating sharks to keep out the riff-raff. On the other hand, unless someone is a griefer who wants to cover your land in particle poofers, most visitors are harmless. Even the guy who wants to use your mattress to bang his date can't steal the silverware or muss the sheets. As long as you're not home, why should you care? For this reason, I leave my land and home open and unguarded. I have met some rather nice, or at least interesting, people this way. Which brings us to the situation when you ARE home and some stranger drops in. This can lead to a new friend, as I said above. It can also lead to much amusement when the visitor is less than polite. Like the guy who started shouting at me to get out, this was HIS home, he was there first! In these cases, it can be fun to haul out the bazooka, load it with avatar-following "seeker" rounds, and let fly.
