Why aren't my alphas working?

I'm kind of a noob but I feel like this isn't right, regardless. I wanted to mix and match my outfits but everytime I put an alpha on, it automatically takes off another alpha. So I can't even wear shoes, pants, or shirts without one part of my body poking through. It doesn't make any sense because when I loaded the avatar and edited it, all of the alphas were on and working. But I took all my clothes off and put something else on that didn't need alphas. Now when I try to put clothes back on, I can't.
