What are the reasons that LL could cancel your account?

Question

Hello my best friends account has been cancel so is her marketplace page. Fenia Nirvana

I am going to write to you what she is telling me about this problem.

 She has send many tickets to ask why but LL is closing the tickets without replying to her. She try to call them but all she got is a voice recording saying send a ticket.  

She had never got money outside sl from this account of hers. Therefore, she had not activate Tilia.  Yes she has another account so she can have another MP page with other kind of items.

When she panic she try to send her real life papers that ticket is still open because they ask her to send more papers. We wrote to that ticket again why what did she did wrong and how can she fix it but nothing. At least not yet.

What are the reasons that LL could cancel your account?

Except sending tickets and trying calling them –she is a free member – what other ways are there, if they are, to try to contact them and get a reply?

Can they cancel your account forever without saying to you why?  

How long does it take to get your account back?

Why LL are closing her tickets without saying anything?

I hope its not a big trouble asking help on all this questions in our attempt to understand what have happen.

She send tickets with her other account but she does not get any reply either. She ask of something else she got a reply but the tickets regarding her other account are been left with no reply.

Her shop was selling hallowing outfits and avatars so you can imagine her sock when her shop 2 days now is closed and it’s the only time of the year she is earning money from there.

One last thing is could it be a cancel reason that she earn lots of money to that account and she did not had Tilia active?

Hey there!

Unfortunately we are unable to discuss or address account specific issues here on the forums, so I'm going to go ahead and close this. 

If your friend has an active ticket in our system, they may direct any questions or concerns regarding their account there.  Submitting additional or duplicate cases may result in those being closed. We recommend not submitting multiple tickets on the same issue to avoid any confusion and to also avoid any further possible delays.

For an account to be "cancelled"  the person must have broken the TOS in some way.  We can't guess what that would be.  Well we can guess but it could be for many reasons. Your friend should have recieved an email from Linden Lab initially to say why  (check spam folders)

She siad to me she has nothing she looked manytimes but there is no email from LL

the pertinent point ( as you wrote ) is that there is a ticket which is open and being reviewed.  Your friend was asked to provide RL details. Which your friend did. And now a decision is pending.  Is why any further tickets on the same matter are being closed

be supportive to your friend, but they do have to wait until Linden make a decision, as difficult as this may be for your friend and worrisome for you

she is freaking out because she does not know why this has happen LL did not let her know.... and she lost a lot of money from the sales she will have done those days since her shop is only a halloween one ......

the only thing to help against freaking out is take a pill ... serious, we here know nothing, and can't do anything nor change anything in this situation. The only thing i can think of is your friend starts reading the support history on this matter, normally there will be hints on whats going on. I'm pretty sure there is more info, can't really imagine there's no correspondence in ticket or email about such important matter as a account closure.
Talking for friends is often very difficult, how sure are you you got all relevant info? .. we often see in many cases that later a "oh yeah i forgot to tell .... moment comes up.

The basic point is that this is a resident-to-resident forum.  We are not Lindens.  We are all SL residents like you and your friend, so we cannot peek into her account and find answers. All that anyone of us can do is guess, and we don;t have enough information to make good guesses.  Lindens will not ever respond to personal questions in the forums.  All you can do is wait for the review of her support cases to be complete -- and check her spam filter to be sure that any message from Linden Lab are not stuck there.

One point about email spam filters...there may be more than one.  I have email accounts with Gmail, and with AOL.  I use an email client on my PC to collect and organize my mail.

So, I have THREE places where I need to check the junk folder.  Online, at Google, and at AOL, and my local junk folders in my email program on my PC.

Lindal, I have all my e-mail accounts set up as IMAP, so the mailboxes actually reside on the mail server. Unless there's a syncing problem, all of my mail clients (across probably half a dozen Macs, iPads and my iPhone) always show the same junk mail folder and contents. If your e-mail clients operate via SMTP you will have to check each individual client's junk mail folders.

I didn't know IMAP worked that way, thanks!  But Verizon/AOL still is SMTP, so...

One thing to watch out for when using IMAP is that when something gets tossed, it really gets tossed. I have my e-mail clients set to delete junk e-mail after one month, giving me time to check the junk folder for e-mails I was expecting but never received. Some years back, I discovered that one of my Macs had been set to delete junk after one day, which of course made those tossed messages unavailable to any of my devices. It took me a day to figure that one out.
