Question

I'm having an issue with the latest firestorm client where an object will be invisible, it is still there and i can see its wireframe but for some reason the textures will load for a second then disappear. I have tried clearing my cache and reinstalling but it still happens and i don't know what to do.

I have seen this problem. As you found cache clearing provides no solution.

I find a relog usually fixes it. If not, I have to wait for the region to be restarted.

I haven't seen this in any viewer other than FS. But it is rare, for me,  in FS and I just may not have used other viewers enough to have run into it.

The way this manifests for me is different...or maybe it is a different problem.

Sometimes, things I know darn well are there, are NOT there.  I don't see wireframes, I see nothing at all.  Sometimes, clicking where they should be will bring them out of hiding.  Sometimes, CTRL+ALT+R to switch to wireframe mode and then back will restore them.  But sometimes, only a re-log helps.

I have this issue, more than a tiny bit over the last many months.

Have you tried just TPing away and back?  That seems to always fix it for me.

I've never thought to switching in and out of wireframe to see if that helps.

Are you only having this problem in a certain location?
If so it may be this "bug" - though technically it's not a bug: BUG-9439 - When certain objects are rezzed, they cause other nearby objects (including default prims) to render invisible

If it's only happening in one particular location, please can you post the SLURL.

If it's happening everywhere, in the top menu bar of the viewer, go to help -> About Firestorm, click the "Copy to clipboard" button & paste all your system information here.

Thanks for all the responses! I've tried looking for more places where this might happen and only found 2 others so far. The building on one location used to not load at all but now i see a few faces of the mesh.

For starters, you might try dropping your draw distance from 456m down to something under 100m.  I think part of the problem is that you have your Quality slider set on Ultra and your graphics card is trying desperately to render everything within a 9 region range.  That NVidia 1060 card is a reasonably good one, but you are asking a lot of it.
