Appearance has only body titles no pictures

When I go into appearance/edit shape, there are only the body titles, the pictures have disappeared.

I have no idea how this happened or how to get them back.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can you tell us what viewer you're using? Is this the LL ("official") viewer?

Preferences -> Move & View -> View -> tick "Show visual hints"  to enable the preview images.
