i don't know what's called, but it's that swirl you get around the avatar when someone logs out or tp's away.

i have a script that prints to local chat, i think that is what is causing it to happen when the script is triggered.

is there a way to suppress it and what is it called so i can research it?

thank you.

in the LL viewer is a Debug Setting. menu Advanced \ Show Debug Settings

effectScriptChatParticles = FALSE.  Turns off the swirly chat particles

another is: ShowSelectionBeam = FALSE.  Turns off the select object particle stream

some TPVs have surfaced these settings as Preferences dialog options. TPV or LL, these settings only apply to our screen. Not to anyone else who can set their own viewer/screen settings as they prefer

Attach the scripted object as a HUD, rather than to your avatar's body. That should fix it
