How do I disable "Flight Assist"?

When I log in I see a message in local chat that I have "Flight Assist is enabled". How do I disable that?

you have an attachment named Flight Assist. find it in inventory and detach it.

Also, if it's a HUD you may be able to click on it to turn it off.

It's also a feature in Firestorm (and maybe other TPVs).  You can turn it off in Preferences.
