The tour will be held on Mainland continents, including waterways. If you RENT or OWN Mainland on any of the Mainland continents you are invited to be a Tour Host!
Don't fret if you do not live by a road or waterway, you can still be on the tour!

This is a free event made possible from LRC community. The more Mainlanders that participate the bigger the tour. So, it's up to you to make this happen!

Requirements to be a Tour Host for the tour:
1. Own or rent land on Mainland - meaning not on a private region sim
2. Register using the form below and send it to Asadora Summers
3. All Tour Hosts will receive a special edition LRC Halloween swag bag. Included in this swag bag is our original Proud Mainland Owner sign, it would help our group greatly if you were to host this 1 prim sign for display especially year round. This sign is also in our Member Welcome Pack, anyone who is a member of our group can display this sign. Remember, Mainland is for All - let's get the word out!

Official Registration Opens: September 25th, 2019 - Closes October 24th, 2019

When official registration closes at closing day of October 25th, 2019, a list will be composed of all Tour Host locations. The tour itself will run from October 25th to close of day November 3rd, 2019.

=-=-=-> New this year! ----> This year will be costume group tours! How it works:

On opening day, October 25th An organised group will meet at the LRC Hub in Tensel Moor in costume (It's Second Life, so your imagination is limitless!)
We will do a short meet and greet for about 15 mins at the desired time at the LRC Hub. Once all those joining us are gathered, we will all go down the Tour List to arrive en masse at each location. It will be great fun, so dress up in your best Halloween gear and come down meet and greet and let's go touring together!

If you miss it, do not worry, for there will be another tour group on October 31st!
(Times will be confirmed in group notices closer to the day)

Tour Hosts will receive a Thank-You gift for their participation!

Rules of the Tour:
1. Don't be a douche
2. Remember your manners and respect other's property and land
3. If someone asks for directions, be kind and help them
4. Remember, Mainland is for all!

We hope this event will go just as well or even better than last year! Every single one of us has something to contribute to Mainland - so let's give it all we got!

I just wanted to add  that unfortunately our Mainland Halloween Tour is for people who rent or own Mainland where they live.  Mainland shops are not allowed.
There are so many shopping events, in-world groups, facebook, twitter, instagram and other types of social advertising that shop owners can utilize to promote their stores; however for the regular Mainlander we aren't selling anything; we just want to be proud of our Mainland and network with each other to grow a inspiring community.

I may get flack for not allowing shop owners and I'm okay with that. I own Mainland where I live and rent three parcels for our LRC hubs across the grid. I also have a shop on Mainland, but I have never used the LRC as a means to promote my shop. So, as I do not do it myself, it wouldn't be fair to let other people with Mainland shops do it.

The following is what the Linden Road Community is about including our core values:

We are a group of mainland landowners that want to make mainland  better together by using the resources already provided, such as the SLRR and Linden Road system, Airways and Seaways!

Goals of the LRC

When Second Life was first conceived it was labeled as a 'social experiment.' There was a deep sense of community in the early days. People helped each other and the overall level of altruistic intentions were high.
Over the years Second Life has changed  to reflect  new technology that has been introduced to the grid; from legacy prims to the introduction of flexi to sculpty maps and now to mesh. The mainland should reflect these changes whilst keeping some aspects of mainland preserved.
Every mainland owner has their own style and own way of expressing that unique style. Our goal is to incorporate that individuality into the mainland whilst keeping a collaborated effort to regain a sense of togetherness and shared loved for the mainland.

We believe that the mainland in some respects should be preserved, but there is also room for other aspects to be incorporated into a progressive display of how far the mainland has come since the early days.

The LRC Core Values:

The following core values are a set of desired principles or qualities that is essential to the nature of our community:

Creativity
Cooperation
Exploration
Respect for each other and the Mainland
Unity
Following the Good Neighbor Commandments

The LRC is about people and the Mainland where they live and are proud to share it with the rest of us. The LRC isn't about virtual commercialism; We are simply people that are trying to inject a sense of community and togetherness on our Mainland.

Kind Regards,

Asadora

I think you forgot one of the most important points, Asadora. If merchants were allowed to promote their store through the tour, there would be so many of them everything else would drown in the masses.

Still there is value of having a focused tour on homes and living on Mainland. There are hunts and events already for stores for both Mainland and Private Sim.
