Where is money I bought one day before? How long I have to wait to get my lindens, please

Hello, before about 24 hours I bought lindens for the first time.

I gave 20 us dollars from my credit card. It was written buying was ok and, of course, that money is not anymore on my credit card so I thought there can be problems anymore.
...but one day later I still don't see any amount of lindens on my screen.
Some friends had idea it is there but not visible from some reason, so they gave me 6 lindens like gifts thinking all that money I have will not shown on screen...but no, it is not there. I even don't know whom to write...still if I gave 20 dollars and got nothing for it, no lindens, it is just fraud, as I see, right? Of course, I expect it will be solved soon, but I really insist to get any answer when I will have those lindens.

If I had to guess -- and I do have to guess -- you did not "buy" L$ at all.  You ordered them by placing a request with the Limit Buy option instead of deciding to buy L$ at the current market price. If you offered to buy L$ at a price that was unrealistically low, it is unlikely that you will find other SL residents who are willing to sell them to you.  (Remember that Linden Lab does not sell you L$.  You buy them from other SL residents who are trying to sell theirs.  That's why the LindeX is called a "currency exchange", just like RL currency exchanges. )  Meanwhile, Linden Lab has placed the money that you offered to buy L$ with into an escrow account, waiting for the sale to be completed.

SO.... Open your dashboard and go to LindeX >> Order History and cancel your order. The amount that Linden Lab is holding in escrow will be transferred to the USD balance in your account.  You may then use that money to place a new order for L$.  This time, I suggest using the Market Buy option.  Until you understand how a currency exchange works, and have a little practice deciding on a good offering price, that's the safest thing to do.

thank you for your answer, but it is still completely vague for me what happened. Can you help me, please, as I don't understand where else to ask for help. I didn't find any sl support e-mail contact, it is so strange to me.

It is only option I got when I clicked on left side to buy lindens.

Now, where is that option "order history"? When I clicked on account history/statements, I got this- https://accounts.secondlife.com/account_history/?lang=en-US#?current_month=2019-09&page_size=25
and it is written there that in this week I have only failed currency buys. I still have not idea what happened with dollars I used to (try to) buy lindens.

Real my response again very carefully.  I explained exactly what to do. If you click the LindeX link and then Manage, you will see this:

Select LindeX Order History, find your order, and cancel it.

OK, I found it now. I didn't know it is in "manage".
But my order is still not there

 you have to look at your order that is in progress in the order history there, if your rate is unrealistic, cancel it and place a new one at a reasonable buy rate. Because a unrealistic offer will never fill, and keep your reserved payment in escrow forever.
The current market data is at the lower part of the limit buy page ( not in the orderhistory)

It's also possible the status says "canceled or failed", in that case the money will be back at your payment method soon, because it didn't reach LL in time or not at all to process the order.

If your order history only shows "failed currency buys", then the transaction(s) did not go through.  This may be because your credit card has expired, or you are using a prepaid or a gift card (LL doesn't accept them).  You need to change your payment method to an actual credit card.

If you don't have a card that LL will accept, you may be able to use a PayPal or Skrill account instead.  You will have to "verify" the account, by backing it up with a real life bank account or a credit card.  Depending on what sort of prepaid card you have, PayPal may accept it as a backup payment method, even though LL does not.
