The Bellisseria Second Life Railroad has been reworked to work more realistic for Bellisseria as that's what this place is all about.

This means everything people knew about the mainland SLRR could be invalid information. The reason for this is because the optimization we have to do for the Linden Homes project multiple locations only have one railway and we can not control the direction people rez their trains.

The rails are scripted to become "Busy" when one train is already one the tracks to avoid collisions, but this only works if people do not abuse their edit powers and obey the rules of the railroad.

This means, if anyone rezzed a train away from the rez-zone, which will always remain red if the track is busy and go green when it knows its safe to go or anyone who edits their train and goes to the other track to skip red lights or even drive through red light on high speed (lag issues can cause that) the whole system that has been created for realism breaks.

Sadly there is no way to avoid these issues other than to ask people to not abuse their powers and obey the red signals that are red for a reason. This also means when the switches are not usable, this is because it's based on timers and clearance of the next tracks. Just like real life!

I'm considering posting the exact progress somewhere once I have time, sadly finding time is hard. For now all I can do is ask to obey the rules and not rez your trains anywhere else but at the rez zone which counts and triggers the exact clearance counts for the signals.

We are watching and learning, as I mentioned this is a new way of scripting to optimize the one-way tracks and we may still have to adjust some timers but as long nobody going through red signals it should work correctly you may just be waiting for 5 minutes depending on how busy the track is.

Oh, this is even awesomerer! So, when that other tram was on the pass-through track at the rez zone, it really was blocking the signal? (That's really cool if it was!) Though, when I tried yesterday, I didn't;t know where the rez zone was - so I flew (just me avatar) from the end of the track in the east and followed the track all the way (funny, I guess I started at the wrong side LOL) - there was no one on the track, so I understand that it's still a build in progress - I razzed a Bibian locomotive (I'm sure you know that brand) and the signal would not switch to allow me out of the rez zone.

THOUGH (and you should maybe know this) - the Infinity trains don't behave this way (maybe because of the glitches on Heterocera) - so I rez a three-car (linked) train on rez zone, and it will "slide" over to the running track. I mention this so I the future, that one may not follow the new rules. I've only become a train fan because SL (I always thought of it sa a boy-toy hahaha!) But have been reading up on how they work and the rules in RL, so YAY for what you are trying to do!

I waited forever (yes, it was FOREVER) for Campsites to be released, so a little more wait for SLRR: Bellisseria is no problem!

Thank you for responding!

(But Gott take a new picture to show how much fun it is, then I'll put it away for now.)

Edit to add: IT WORKED Hahaha! I came to a red signal and stopped and waited for it to go free. That is so much more fun!

The only thing I wish you could do is rez a  vehicle to drive  that would be fun  to be able to drive your car or truck or what ever

The SLRR Rez Zone (in Bellisseria) looks like it's designed to rez trains on the track AND ALSO land vehicles next to it (and a road starts there, too). :D

As I said in my previous post, It would help me greatly in fixing the issue if you could give me the slurl of the rez zone you are talking about and also (very important) a screenshot of the error message you receive.

I want to fix the problem for you if I can, but I can't unless you can provide me with the information I need.

Beautiful place... love the train

It is created by Atomic Infinity, mostly for the in-world GTFO game, but it's fun and easy to drive also. Unlike most other trains, this one is all linked together as a single piece, so region crossing are a lot smoother and more natural (the "normal" SL trains are separate carts and so it an accordion-effect when region-crossing as each cart must cross before you continue - it takes getting used to). With this the crossings are fast and the whole thing crosses at once.

SO... is the Bellisseria SLRR Rez zone working now? I mean - to Rez more than one car, you have to rez in the rez zone. But I have never gotten a green light from the rez zone to date (I didn't;t try today -Monday, though) - and so cannot proceed from the rez zone onto the main track (with most brands of SLRR trains, anyway). So your train ignores the signal switch or its fixed.Though that train looks like an oldie-but-goodie, so it may not be limited by the switch. Just asking'  LOL

Campwich Station is absolutely gorgeous! This was the first opportunity I've had to get out and see it for a little bit and I wasn't disappointed. I adored taking photos with the Foggy windlight setting because I love dull grey looking days where it appears rain will fall at anytime. Sorry, but I had to share and I've been doing that a bit too much lately. Beautiful work Moles and Lindens!
