What are you watching today?

I'd really rather people didn't sully this topic with politics.  One posts their view then someone else feels the urge to respond, until it becomes a slanging match and no-one's seeing anything interesting.   Use your brain for something else.  Thank you.

I'm watching the YouTube channel Fall of Civilizations, by Paul Cooper. The Han dynasty is very interesting, and he covers the late bronze age collapse of civilization as well, a fascinating story. He also covers the Sumerians, if you are into history this channel is a must.

Someone suggested that the 'What are you listening to right now' topic might usefully split off to present primarily non-music viewing.  So here are my two choices today.  'Better than Us' - the robots-and-murder thriller on Netflix - and one from YouTube.

While waiting for the summer shows to start up, I'm working my way through some more Amazon stuff.

I recently binged through this series -- it wasn't bad, something like 3.5 stars (out of 5):

Then went through all of this pretty quick -- it was fairly good and did a good job of holding my attention:

By some miracle, my son agreed to look away from his computer last Friday to watch this with me (part 1) & today we watched part 2.  3 will release next weekend.  It’s basically an R rated Goosebumps series in an American Horror Story set up (each part is a different story but actors return & they have a unified arc).

Is no one else hiding from the heat & watching tv? 🥵 📺

🦈 It must be shark week- watching a documentary over the USS Indianapolis.

-the US warship sank by torpedo in the Pacific in 1945.  The survivors were then attacked by sharks as the sailors-marines bobbed around for 4 days because of a mistake in the process that was supposed to keep track of naval ships & should have alerted the Navy that something was wrong.

(I can’t find a decent site for the documentary)

Watched this last night, it was really funny.. The cop is such an original character and just had me in tears laughing with how he used being boring and creepy in such a humorous way that I never really seen before.. I wish he was in it much more than he was..

The whole thing was really fun and  funny.

This is pretty neat and scary at the same time.

ETA:I'm adding this one also, which really gave a good perspective of a tsunami from an iceburg..

Just seeing it come up before it breaks the surface made my tummy flip..
