I can't do the survey (for reasons that I do not fall into the selected group, which is fine of course!), but I took a quick look at your questions. And I kind of get the feeling that this survey does not relate to SL at all. The SL questions seem like a direct copy and paste from the RL store one, with just the introduction part changed. It feels like its written by someone, who has never been in SL. Shopping in SL isn't a direct copy of the experiance of going into a RL store and the SL specific details aren't really reflected in those questions.

7 years and 7 months inworld, with nothing on his profile and no payment info.  So basically, he doesn't care about SL or us.  Today I discovered an interesting non-binary Asian graduate who showed me a new world of fashion (some very nice clothes, actually).  I've only known them for 10 minutes but they were as sincere in their answers as anyone 10 minutes old can be.  So that was fun.

But, not necessarily that he doesn't care about us with nothing in his profile...it's most likely just an alt.

My alt that I established in my business name doesn't even have any clothes and all her profile says is to contact me, FairreLilette.  It's just an alt to establish my business name...her clothing is the default avatar you start the game with.  lol   So, my alt doesn't shop at all.

For a moment, I thought that was an image of a box of frozen rats from the freezer section of a grocery market.

Now I'm hungry, Luna.

lol well that's how I feel about these people wanting surveys from us...like they are poking me (the lab rat) with something sharp.  I wouldn't mind so much though if they thanked us a whole whole lot and offered cookies at the end!

Please put that image behind spoilers. I find it highly offensive on more than one level.

When I was in graduate school, I left a research study because of the way they were using the laboratory animals. I understood that there was no suitable alternative to the animals, but that didn't mean they could be treated as "disposable". I argued that every effort should be made to ensure that maximum use was made of each life. The primary investigator on the project was miffed by my satirical take on their approach, including my suggestion that they might as well eat the animals afterwards. I actually do think the image is in poor taste, not because of what it portrays, but because it's got the look of "marketing" all over it.

I understand the context is different and I'm sorry I offended you, Selene. I'm not sorry I offended the professor.
