Hi Wynd!  Rolig is right...you can own a private estate region without a Premium account.  Just be sure:

  • The "sale" is actually a transfer of ownership.  Lots of estate owners are willing to RENT you a region...but the actual ownership does not change.  Here is the procedure for an ownership transfer.  Do NOT pay the seller any $L directly.  https://community.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/english/managing-private-regions-r50/#Section_5
  • You can't own a Homestead region, unless you also already own at least one regular "full" private region.
  • Note, LL recently required that all payments for region transfers be in $L, not $USD.  I am not sure whether that applies to the purchase only, or to any additional fees like relocating/renaming the region.  Ask LL Billing for details.
