I'm trying to put a texture on this shirt but either it shows up invincible or has one color, here are some picture of how the textures are coming up

I added a ZEBRA fabric to this shirt and it only shows one solid color form the texture, black, or If I try to add an ambient occlusion it's invincible, Why are my textures not showing up on my shirt?

2048 is double the max size for a texture in SL. SL will “resize” a texture from 2048 to 1024....but well you really don’t want to rely on SL to do that for you.

You also don’t want to just drop a patterned texture onto a clothing item. Set up your nodes so that you can apply your texture in blender and also resize the texture. Then bake!

Once you import your bake into SL, then you have a texture that will work perfectly on your shirt!

Wanted to note that there was a long discussion here with testing some months back and while we (well many of us including ME) thought that you should resize and THEN upload, testing shows that in many cases the uploader (now) does a better job than making the changes in many graphics programs. So testing for yourself is a good idea. I have been uploading 2048 textures for at least half a year now with much better results.

I don't use 2.8 so can't comment to the OP but I assume that materials need to be ASSIGNED still so that would be something to check :D.
