Anyone here does not RP?

Im not a huge fan of RP, but more into conversation or chatter.

Long story short, Im just wondering if there are any folks out there that does not RP and just likes to chat.

I apologize if Im wording this incorrectly, Im being straight forward as possible. o:

I used to RP. I don't anymore. I also don't chat as much as I used to. It's mostly reserved for the forums now.

I don't RP in the formal sense, and when I'm presented with a screenfull of RP rules (no godmodding, wear the RP hud, join a clan/species/race, make sure you have a proper backstory, read the multipage history of the scenario, etc., etc.), I tend to put an egg in my boot*.

But when approached casually by someone who talks as if the situation we're in is real, I usually don't have a problem responding in kind. Until I get bored.

Personally, I don't know many people in SL who RP, but that says more about the sorts of people I tend to hang around with  than anything else.  I suspect that Selene is right, though.  RP is not terribly important for the average SL resident.

I roleplay as a motivated employee for a large corporation who doesn’t cordially despise modern society 🙂

no, I do not rp. I do not care much for chatting either. I do however like to manipulate prims and mesh and on occasion I do like to get ,y ava naked and pixel bump.. but i has been years since I did that.. wait? is that role playing?

Depends how you define roleplay. When I am on a roleplay sim, in character, I am roleplaying.

All the rest of the time I am just myself, and I don't consider that roleplay just because I have an avatar.

I saw people para-roleplay once. It took then 3000 words and 5 minutes to say something that could basically be boiled down to "Hello" and "How about a nice cup of tea?"

The trick is finding a man to role play back and not "mmmmmmmm baby, you like that don't you *delete expletive*..."  Then wait while he proceeds to click through all 115 animations one after after the other, reaches his grand finale at least half dozen times, and then immediately logs off. Get enough of that you don't want to role play the sexy time. Or even want it (not in SL at least) 😏

You forgot the 3000 word thought post on what they ate for breakfast 15 years ago as a child that somehow influenced the current scene...
