When attempting to re-target for secondlife in bvhacker, the wrist turn up and loose motion data in the wrists only or "hands"

Everything else about the animation works, plays and uploads fine into sl. The only problem is with the wrists. The wrists also play fine before re-targeting,, but i need to re-target in order to upload so i'm wondering if anyone has a workaround or a bug fix, or reason for the issue. I'm using a biped file imported from motionbuilder which is originally a 3dsmax file imported from my recording software.

For retargeting to SL, your best bet is to either use Marionette plug in for 3dsmax by the resident polysail (contact her directly to purchase) or MyAniMATE for Maya. Both plug ins support  .anim format for export, which is way better than bvh in terms of motion fidelity

Do these processes require a lot of time per animation or can i retarget once and then apply something like a preset to the rest of my animation files that are coming from the same capture software? That's one thing i really value of bvhacker, it cuts the workflow time down soo much

I can talk about Maya. When importing a new fbx animation, if the skeleton is the same, just make sure to set the fbx import setting as "update" and that will bring in just the animation, updating the current skeleton key frames. Then it's just a matter of retargeting the new motion to the sl character
