0 Fritigern Gothly
Sounds like libcef.dll is stil in use, in spite of your viewer being closed. Try rebooting your PC, then try to install again.

0 Lindal Kidd
@JennikaSmith, From your Windows desktop, hold CTRL+ALT+DEL. Choose Task Manager from the menu that appears. In the Processes tab, look for anything that appears to be Second Life related. Right click any you find and choose End Task. Next, look in the Services tab. For anything you find that is SL-related, especially libcef.dll, click it and choose Stop. Also, click Open Service. In the window that appears, right click the service in question and choose Properties. Look at the Startup Type. If it says Automatic, set it to Manual. (You can also disable it entirely, although you may want to go back and change that once you have the viewer installed again). Finally, look in the Startup tab. If you find an SL viewer in there, right click it and choose Disable. Whether or not you found anything by doing the above, do a DELETE AND CLEAN INSTALL of your viewers. Be really, really sure you did remove all SL-related files (except your chat and IM logs, if you wish to keep them). Some of the files are hidden in unlikely places, they are not all in the C:\Programs\Second Life directory. Here is a link for how to do it. https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/fs_clean_install Now...one more thing. Maybe there is a file called libcef.dll that's used by something else on your computer, or for some reason a copy of the darn thing is still lurking somewhere. Do a search of your hard drive(s) for it. If you find one, and you aren't sure that deleting it would not cause problems with anything else on your computer, try renaming it, at least temporarily.
