preferences save chat clearing delete transcripts

on the preference s  for second life viewer   the bottom of that page where it states   save  then the button for logs and transcripts that is ok but the button for clearing and the button for delete transcripts look like they are pressed in stuck greyed,,, and for the past few days no chat log has been able to be saved,  and i am not  receiving e mails or in coming ims ,,,, is this i bug  i have uninstalled and reinstalled  several times today and same thing,,,,,  and  no chat bubble for live support ,,,, help!!!!!    I did  send in support ticket  ,,,
