Definate Balfour
I'm a first time builder, I know a few things thanks to my sl kids, but I'm having trouble. I bought a scultpy sofa and wanted to make it sellable, but I have no idea how to add sitting positions to it so you can actually sit on it. :tears a bit: Help? Definate Balfour
Forgot to add, do I need to script the content or what? Can I just add pose balls?
Randall Ahren
You don't need any script. Avatars can sit on the horizontal surface of a sofa. Typically though, builders will use a sit script to position the avatars. You don't necessarily need pose balls either. Pose balls are just there as a visual cue. But if you would like to use a pose ball, rezz a sphere and put this script in the pose ball and put it on your sofa: // CATEGORY:Poseball// DESCRIPTION:very basic poseball for sit// ARCHIVED BY:Ferd Frederixdefault{state_entry(){llSitTarget(<0.25,0.0,0.35>,<0,0,0,1>); // forward 0.25, up 0.35llSetSitText("sit");}}
Definate Balfour
It made a happy face -.- Send the thing again?
Randall Ahren
That's strange. Just delete the happy face. It's in the comments section. Any line precedecd by "//" is a comment and may be deleted.
WADE1 Jya
If you want to make your own SL animations for your sofa, you can use a free program called qavimator. Making your own animations will vastly enhance your sofa's sellability! Just google "qavimator", its downloadable from the internet :matte-motes-nerdy:
Luc Starsider
If you have the animations you want to put in the sofa, there are a couple of products around (for free) that helps you to get the avatar positions right by creating the necessary scripts for this. Here's one: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Easy-SitTarget-Tool/1462278 Instructions are in the package. - Luc -

Luc Starsider
Crap! I copied the link from the marketplace. I'll find the correct one and edit it. [EDIT] Link above is correct now. - Luc -
