I am trying to use the Tameless Complete Mesh Ilyrana Avatar.  The feet are Tameless Mesh Feet.  I cannot make any shoes work, the feet are hanging off the back, coming out the bottom, or sliding off the side of shoes.  Even the 10 pair of shoes that came with the avatar do not work.  Those shoes came with two different shoe bases and the shoes, no shoe alpha.  Separately obtained Tameless shoes that came with a shoe base and a shoe alpha do not work either.  Suggestions?

I don't know that one; perhaps someone here does, and will answer. But one thought: when you say that there is no shoe alpha, do you mean that the HUD does not have an alpha slice for the feet? There are two different ways of doing this that I know of -- my Slink body, which has separate Slink feet, has a separate HUD (or actually a separate page on the main body HUD) which allows you to hide or show feet and/or ankles. (It also has controls for setting the shape of the feet for different shoes).

On the other hand, my Altamura body, which has the feet attached, has an alpha cut in the main HUD for the feet.

Is there maybe a separate HUD for the feet?

I have no HUD for the feet, nor inclusion for feet in the HUD for the body.

Huh.

I was going to pop in-world and try out a demo, but I've checked the MP page for Tameless, and they appear not to offer demos for their "complete avatars" with mesh bodies (of which I see two?).

A quick Google doesn't lead me anywhere but the MP page for Tameless. One suggestion is to join the Tameless group (and here's a link to their web description), and ask your question there. Another is to send a notecard along to the maker, Nita Bracken, and ask her.

You might also try posting screen shots of the open HUD(s), with one pic for each of the pages of each HUD, and maybe we can to work out what is going on? It's probably best to try Nita or the store group first, though.

My last suggestion will only work for certain kinds of footwear, like calf or knee highs, but if you could simply not wear the feet when wearing boots over them. (That will also, I think, only work with unrigged boots.)

I've sent notecard and IM to Nita, no response yet.

My Tameless Mesh Body Alpha HUD has one page, has body only, no head, no hands, no feet showing.  There is a button for Load Alpha and one for Save Alpha.  Clicking these give a "HUD not implemented" message.

I don't know anything about Nita or Tameless, so I don't know how likely you are to get a response. One thing to bear in mind, maybe, is that, it being summer now, many people are on vacation, so it's possible that's why you haven't heard back yet.

Hopefully, the group will be able to help -- although I note that it's a pretty small group.

I have not located a way to join a Tameless group, but I did visit the mainstore inworld.  There I did see a demo for an avatar, I'm not sure how long that will be available.  The store is heavy on hair, some clothes.  Many scenarios and poses.  I saw no shoes, no HUDs or alphas.  No way to join a group or contact Nita.  Hmmmm.
