Tara, the most likely situation is that you chose the "Best Rate" buying option.  This is an OFFER to buy $L at a specified exchange rate.  If the rate is very far from what the actual exchange rate is doing, it can take a long time...maybe forever! for your order to be filled.

If you get tired of waiting, you can go to the LindEx section of your Dashboard and click Manage, then click LindEx Order History.  Find the open order and cancel it.  The money will then go into your $USD Balance.  You can use it to place another order, either at a more reasonable rate, or an "Instant Buy" order.  If you choose the latter, your $L will be sent to you immediately.
