Β Β  I bought a motorbike a long, long time ago, and I think it's fairly decent - but I think it's time to try something new. Since I never have been too invested in vehicles in SL, I find it difficult to figure out what ones are the most suitable though. I want it to look nice, or at least decent, but most importantly I'd like one that isn't a script hog (hah), as I like to drive along the mainland roads to explore (I realize you'll never get a perfectly smooth sim crossing, but when the bike decides to elope with a satellite every time it starts feeling bothersome). I also want it to have good, responsive handling.

Β Β  I've looked around a bit, and there seems to be too much for me to process on my own, so any input would be much appreciated. Price tag isn't an issue, as long as the product lives up to the expectations that go with it.

:D

i like that

@Animats did a viewer mod recently-ish which pauses a vehicle on the screen until the vehicle and avatar have completed the crossing, which I think has been taken into Firestorm

i can't recommend a cruiser-type bike tjo as I prefer race performance superbikes. But am sure somebody will come along soon and give you some steers to cruise bikes which don't go all twitchy in the turnsΒ

I have picked up some classic bikes from ZZ Bottom (fonecuzuzu) for free at her main store atΒ http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Vimba/39/241/23
When you land there, you will see a bunch of boxes, they are freebies and amongst them are dozens of motorcycles which may be of use to you!

Let me know how it turned out! πŸ™‚

Β Β  Well, I think I may have to look into that viewer mod, because it doesn't seem to matter much which vehicle I'm on - everything goes into space when I cross a sim border, regardless of whether it's a high-script vehicle or a low-script vehicle.

LL is putting something to accomplish the same goal into their viewer. Not clear how that will work yet.

That's all I can say on this issue, to comply with the LL advertising policy rules.
