Hi... I just recently upgraded my account to premium.... I'm told that the linden houses are 1024 tiers or something like that.... but when I go onto the web page the only homes listed are 512... how do I get the right place?

the demand for the new 1024m Linden Homes is currently outstripping supply.  The LDPW Moles are building the new homes as fast as they can and new home regions are being added as soon as they are ready. When a new 1024m home is available then it will show up on the web page, but they go really quickly as is lots of people trying to get a new home at the moment

the LDPW (Patch Linden is the boss of LDPW) has just announced ad the SL16 Birthday that they will be trying to add a new region worth of homes to Belliserria estate every 1 or 2 days, with a plan to continue to streamline their workflows to enable even more regions to be released in this way. Some people also abandon their new homes, so they get returned to the pool and show up on the web page until somebody else claims it

Patch Linden also said that in addition to this, the LDPW will be working on a whole new other set with different homes (other than Traditional and Houseboats) which they will look to release as a large block when its finished

like everyone who hasn't yet managed to get a new home, we just have to be patient and check out the web page. I am waiting for a trailer home myself, which are displayed at the SL16B show homes region. But Linden haven't yet started on making them yet (as far as I know) but soon I think. So I wait

Molly is right!  A little history...

When Linden Homes were introduced, they were on 512 sq m parcels, and could only support 117 prims.  Later, the carrying capacity of land was increased throughout SL, which raised the prim capacity of a 512 sq. m. parcel to 175.  At that time, a Premium member could own a Linden Home, or up to 512 sq. m of Mainland, and not have to pay any monthly tier on it.

Then LL also increased that 512 tier-free benefit to 1024 sq m.  But Linden Homes remained on 512 sq m parcels.  So, you could own a Linden Home AND another parcel of up to 512 sq. m...or you could forgo the Linden Home and own up to 1024 sq. m tier-free.

A month or so ago, LL began releasing new Linden Homes, on 1024 sq. m. parcels, and with a prim capacity of 351.  These are located on the new Bellisseria continent.  The first two batches were snapped up almost immediately.  LL is planning to make more, and offer additional new designs.  Until they do, you can still get one of the older style 512 Linden Homes, or you can keep checking back to the Linden Homes page to see if any of the newer styles have become available.  You can also choose to buy a 1024 Mainland parcel, either directly by going to a parcel that's for sale, and using the "Buy Land" option in World>Parcel Details, or by bidding on a parcel in the Land Auctions.  As long as you don't own a total of more than 1024 sq m on the Mainland, you won't be charged tier.
