Well will be happy to get to the pension age but right now it is 2:03 pm so things like this that happen are not feasible and get missed by people on EST. I did the trick that was suggested a few pages back. I didnt leave the page, instead, I refreshed it. Twice. And BOOM. Got me a house. When I restarted it I saw houses - then Meadowbrook - then houses. Tried to refesh manually ... a few times ... in vein ... then I reached my limit!
