Does any one have any experience with SL Registration API?

I applied for the Registration API about three weeka ago, via http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Registration_API_Request_Form

I still have not heard anything back from Linden Labs, anyone know how long this normaly takes?

Since the implementation of display names and the new "fast, easy, and dumbed down registrations" are they even allowing any new API registrations? I wouldn't think they are any more since the API uses the old style of registration and last names available are very few now.

I have actualy wondered this. The documentation that does exisit only refers to the old style usernames (first name, surname) and nothing at all on how to handle just a username.

 

Would be nice for LL to state though if they were no longer accepting new API registrations.

I agree they should make some sort of statement or something as simple as making a note on the wiki, but these are the Lindens we are talking about, inept and irrational.

I noticed that page also refers to under 18s not being able to register so its definately not recent. LL are cleaning up the wiki at the moment so you will soon know if that page disappears. A phonecall should get you a quick answer.
