Does Anyone Sell Any Secondlife Accounts?

Question

  • 0

No, because it's forbidden and against the TOS. But some people probably do that under LL's radar. If you were thinking of buying one: Don't do it! It will get you into trouble, too, if LL finds out!

From the TOS:

3.1 You must establish an account to use Second Life, using true and accurate registration information.

You must establish an Account with Linden Lab to use the Service, except for those portions of the Websites which Linden Lab allows users to access without registration. You may establish one or more additional Accounts, provided that your existing Account is in good standing and you are otherwise in full compliance with this Agreement. You may not transfer or assign your Account and its contractual rights, licenses and obligations, to any third party without the prior written consent of Linden Lab.

Its not worth doing it, when LL finds out (and they will eventually) the account will just get deleted along with all your stuff and money and everything you spent on it.

It's one of those Chinese sweatshop things I think - they get a bunch of people to go into all sorts of games, get stuff, 'rank up', achieve abilities - and then sell the character to some rich Western that can't be bothered to do it themselves.

Hehe, maybe that's what all the lucky-chair hopper bots are doing.

What a dumb idea! I can see doing that in some game, maybe, but in Second Life? Where's the point? (ETA:  Not that YOUR idea is dumb, Pete.  Just sayin' .....  )

I`ve seen it happen in a particular war game that takes weeks to build your fort and army, but I can`t see the point in SL. I would hate to take over an SL avvie that had been around for ages and I had no idea what it had done (or who) LOL :D

I completely agree, anything you'd buy with your ready-made SL account - if it were legal - you could get cheaper by doing it yourself. Since there are no ranks, etc. in SL there's not a lot of point here but there are always fools ready to be parted from their money.
