So I was checking some of the strip clubs, most of the time they are pretty welcoming of anyone who sets foot but I ran into one and the intial greeting was kind of rude. Basically "pay 5K to look around or leave" cause it was for gentlemen only.

Well I got into it with their LO and she is there the whole time raving about how much money they made. I think I got banned from there cause I requested eject and ban. Soon after found a nice place with friendly staff and decent guests.

 

Anyways a lot of escorts act like they are getting so rich or brag about their profits and such, yet the reality is there are like 20 escorts/dancers on SL for each client.

Sometimes I snag a notecard from these b****es and they charge insane amounts for services, and on the notecards they sound kind of negative like what they will NOT do, the escorts turn-on's. and just a general sense like it is about them instead of the clients they try to serve.

Are guys someone turned on by being treated like this? If I was trying to hire an escort and the card was that negative I would tell them to cram it in their butt.

 

Plus I wonder if they are SO busy raking in all this L$, how come they always seem to have time to chat with me as if I was a friend instad of another face in the SL crowd?

for many people money is a social status, a demonstration of power, so i guess they brag about their money to show how valuable they are, and if you are convinced that they are valuable, you may pay the price because you may think they are worth it

My question to you is why should escorts be expected to give away their services cheaply or to do whatever a potential client wants?  Being an escort in SL is a skill that not everyone can do well.  It's more than just jumping on pose balls.  It requires buying good skin, hair & clothing - all of which costs money.  It requires the patience & psychology skills to listen to clients as if you really care about their thoughts & feeligns.  It requires a good voice & acting skills to convince them that you're really hot for them.  If you want a cheap escort, then look around to see if you find one, but don't complain if you can't.  If you want free sex in SL & can't find it, then you're probably short on some social skills yourself.

I think the biggest attraction for those who brag about their SL wealth is the fact that just about anyone can.  People can throw around ten or twenty dollars and feel like a big shot.  If they showed off their "Pile of Washingtons" RL they would get laughed out of the room.

Another part of people playing out their dreams in this fantasy world.  I guess "RPing" a rich person makes about as much sense as pretending to be anything else even if I don't really get it.

Not from escorting.  She worked as an escort for a brief time but most of her initial capital came from her shop sales and from flipping the land that hosted her shops.

Anyone claiming that they got rich by doing virtual nookie in SL is full of it.  The demand isn't great enough to price the services high enough for a person to get rich, especially when the internet is already flooded with cheap webcam sex.  It would be hard enough to make enough money as a virtual escort to pay the rent and put food on the table in the escort's real life.

I think it is all relative anyhow.  What one person may consider "a lot of" money in SL wouldn't keep someone else in shoes for a month.

Since I am a SL escort and have own several escort clubs I will respond on what I have seen.

I escort because it is exciting to me and because I make some extra spending money. Both reasons are needed for me. I woul not do it unless I liked it and I would not do if I wasn't being paid.

I make $95,000.00 in real life so I really dont HAVE to escort. However, the $1500.00 I have taken out every Decemeber for the last four years has come in handy at Christmas and I can afford to buy things in SL without putting them on my credit card.

I do know that many of the girls who have worked for me have struggled in RL to make ends meet. The extra money they make escorting in SL helps them tremendously in making through the month.

So I guess my answer is --  no, you wont get rich -- I mean do the math, there are not that many hours in a day!

But if you are a single mom or a college student, you can earn as much as you would get paid in a minimum wage job (after taxes and child care) - especially if you are a good escort with steady regular clients. At the same time, if you dont enjoy it, it isnt worth doing.
