Hi all.  I decided to go with Gianni for the mesh body but I don’t love the standard head that goes with it.  Unfortunately, I’m having a hard time find other heads that I like the look off.

Could someone recommend a vendor or specific mesh head, or point me in the right direction?

I have a little experience with 2 different brands.  My favorite for female heads only has two male heads and ... well, they have issues.

In my opinion (and that is all it is, just an opinion) your only real choice is which Catwa head you like best.  They have several very nice heads to pick from so it is not like you are stuck with them.  They became the most popular brand of heads -- both male and female -- for a reason.

Don't forget that a skin is very important for the finished result. Testing the heads with the default skin is one thing, but that does not really give you an idea of what you can look like.

It helps if you can say what you want. Post a picture of an actor that is close to what you want.

Or you can say it.

-Irish/European with red hair and pale skin with freckles

-Light to tan 30-40 y old

-Caribbean/light mocha dark skin, young looking

For all the looks over, you can find them for a Catwa head, as already mentioned. We can like it or not, but Catwa has the market.

Your head + skin + shape (+ body) combo is what will give you your look. While Catwa's David is the most common choice, there's plenty of other options for the other Catwa heads and some other brands (eg Lelutka). My advice would be to avoid buying a head until you have demo'd out a skin + head + shape combo that you like. Straydog is the place I recommend for male skins, but there are other places.

Each skin will be designed with one specific head in mind. Find a vendor ad there that you like, take the demo of that skin (plus a demo of the body skin on the wall), and take the demo of the relevant head. The skin (demo and the real thing) should come with a shape; wear the shape, and you should look like the vendor ad (or close enough, anyway). Use that as a base, tweak the shape to your liking, and once you have something that you're happy with, only then should you buy anything.

Apart from Catwa, I have a GA.EG head too. That I've never shown anyone. I didn't much care for how it turned out. T'was an expensive impulse... But you should demo them at least, they might suit your taste better.

Dont y'all miss Strawberry Singhs blogs. I always went to her site for help on this kinda stuff. Hers and the Mesh addicts site.

I find catwa is over used and so many guys look like relations in sl atm. Try lelutka but always Demo demo demo. Good luck.
