The Non Linden Home Picture Thread - Mainland Only

I keep hearing about Horizons but I have no idea what it is!

It's a linden region on mainland.  Sort of a planned community.  Each parcel has a home rezzer available but unlike Belli, you can choose not to use one of the ones provided.  It's also a double prim region.  Prices are through the roof.  I got mine at a fair price compared to what I was seeing today.  Most were 500,000L on water.  I got mine under 75,000.

It's just north of Zindra.

So, about that jigsaw puzzle-shapped odd-sized parcel I was talking about in another thread, the one I bought to get as close to my remaining m2's as possible before popping over into the next tier, that I mentioned I didn't know what to put there...well, I was searching the Marketplace for small buildings, and came across a coffee 'n' comics shop.  From there, the creative juices just started flowing, and a few hours latter I had this:

That is really nice. I don't suppose they would let me do that to my place in Belli?

Yes, you could.  As long as nothing is actually being sold - it cannot contain any arcade games that truly take L$.

Thanks for the compliments.  It's a nice little shop from the Marketplace, which I enhanced with lots of murals and a few arcade games.

What @LittleMe Jewell said, if you were asking about commercial activity in Belli or arcades.

As to using wall tattoos/slightly transparent murals on outer walls in Belli, sure.  Folks have already started doing that, mostly in the stilt areas.  umbrella_001.thumb.png.837e23b7609cd82fa7dd96ab8fcce81f.png

The consensus in the Belli picture threads is that as long as it's not too far out of theme it's OK.

Is that what you were asking about?

Okay....so it's not a house... but LOOK at this shot I grabbed of some forest roads while I was doing my PODscast yesterday! This looks like it could be straight out of Washington State. AMAZING!

Do you happen to remember where that was? It's lovely.

So...I record POD rides and always forget to keep the SURL up so people can see where I am when I'm coasting through so they can find it again. It's somewhere between:

http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Lutra/169/222/43 and http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Amella/242/37/64

I release the next recorded ride on Friday that has this in it, so you might be able to figure it out if you watched the video. Fair warning, though...it's about 15 mins long and it's me coasting down the Atoll Road with some Lofi background music. :)

Here is the video for Friday is you want to swing by and take a peak - maybe it will save you some time hunting.

Some of these homes are so unique and beautiful. I'll put mine out there ...This my new Trompe Loeil home, and attached beautiful Zen garden by Evergreen Valley, on two side-by-side waterfront lots on Horizons I am renting.

Here is my new place in Mocha. I needed some room to spread out because I wanted to make a small art park. Two parcels together make a long skinny parcel (left foreground is actually Maintenance Land).

The house is complicated, the skybox is simple.  If it is ever finished I will have an open house. 1773741153_HouseinMocha.thumb.jpg.0eb4ed151de3be97dd77d877d20e6ca4.jpg
