PROCESS CHANGE FOR LINDEN DOLLARS

Question

I received a notice saying that there is a problem with my account saying that I have insufficient funds to request a payout.  So, I looked at my bank account and the amount as already been taken out last week.  I DON'T understand the problem and reading the new rules is very confusing.  I can't just use my bankcard to buy lindens and pay my fees anymore?  I have to set a PayPal account and wait for some 3-5 day process before I can receive my lindens now?  THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!  Why do I have to wait for something I have already paid for???  Really LINDEN LABS you're making being a premium member more work than it should have to be!!

You are buying lindens to pay for your premium membership, did I get that right ?  It is not true you have to send anything to paypal to pay for LL content, but if you have been using your card buying lindens paying a fee then changing your lindens back to USD and then letting them sit and pay for tier/membership etc you are doing something wrong there and far more costly I believe than it needs to be. You would just let them bill your card unless its not a credit card, still not sure that how you are doing it is the right way to go if I understood what you said.

However again nothing has changed in how they take money from your USD balance. What you said sounds as though they are saying you requested to send to Paypal but the amount is too small to process as they have a minimum.

Hi Glitter!  It sounds like you are confusing two different processes.

There is the process to BUY $L.  Here, you use a registered payment method to buy $L.  The payment method may be a credit card, or a verified PayPal or Skrill account.  There is no waiting time, the purchase is instant (unless you choose the Best Rate/Limit Buy option.)

Then there is the process to SELL $L, and to transfer the proceeds from the sale back to Real Life.  When you sell $L, the money first goes into your $USD Balance.  Then, you do a Process Credit transaction to transfer some or all of your $USD to your PayPal or Skrill account.  Doing a Process Credit transaction requires that you have a minimum $10 USD balance, and you can't transfer the funds to a credit card...only PayPal or Skrill.  It takes up to 5 business days for LL to complete the transfer.

Thank you both for responding.  I did have a misunderstanding but I have cleared it up with billing at SL.  I was having a problem on marketplace and when I saw the message on the process credit page I thought it applied to me and it was causing my problem.

Turns out there was a glitch in the system with my account trying to use marketplace which has been solved.  My account is fine, I can continue using my bank card for purchasing lindens and paying fees.  AND, I now understand the process credit should I ever need it.

My thanks to everyone who helped me including SL who were so quick to fix the actual problem.

I went through the same ***** up you did, It happens to some.  I had membership for about 3 months and after the last one. It said I had overdrawn. by around 10 bucks. Now I knew I was in no position to pay the outstanding balance. I called LindenLabs and a Real Person answer and takes care of you. It should take no more than 10 minutes if you aren't on hold. Simply explain your situation clearly and They will cater to you.

Don't let this ruin playing. I had to call them different times one for that reason and They kept positive, are friendly and they a professional and will treat you with respect in your confusion. I'm happy I called them that day because now I have many good memories

Linden Labs has all of our interests in sight. I felt I HAD to share this.
