Once I made a window and it turned out so unusual, the light is reflected like something else. but I didn't remember how I did it. here for comparison, a simple cube with all the settings and textures repeating the window glass. but the effect is completely different. I never managed to repeat this effect again. no matter flat or smooth setting in a blender. Can anyone know how to repeat this effect?

It uses materials. Normal map is a default plain texture.

What are the values for Glossiness, and Environment, under Shininess in the build floater, on the window? I would think you just need to increase those on the prim.

Hello! The window and cube they both have default   51/0   glossiness/environment settings.

Might be it, materials aren't toned down on alpha blended textures the same way they are simply setting the prim transparency property.

So whatever specmap/specular properties you have will be much more visible.

That's how I make glass nowadays.
