The mission of Wheelies is to be a safe and friendly for disabled and non-disabled avatars in party, dance and enjoy music from a range of styles.

Wheelies is my virtual disability themed nightclub based in Secondlife. As the world’s first such nightclub since it opened in September 2006, it has supported 10,000s of disabled and non-disabled people across the world by providing a safe, friendly and supportive environment that is not formally focused on disability issues or peer support as its main purposes. From its opening, the club has received a huge amount of media attention from around the world and in July 2008, I was presented the Revolutionary Award of the UK Catalysts Award by Gordon Brown. The club remains as a respected and important part of Secondlife which ensures there is a safe and friendly place for disabled people.
