Need help in setting up an object with the media option turned on

Hello,

one of my friends runs a club and wants to set up a big screen to play Youtube videos. Turning a simple prim into a media object just works half way, because if he chooses a video, i cant see neither his selection, nor the video running. What i get instead, is the YT homepage, being able to play my own video of choice.
I remember having seen a TV/screen long time ago, where my friend was able to see, where i clicked and what videos i played...

What did i do wrong this time? Or is there a script needed?
