Spending my time in SL as a rich men‘s toy, I earned a lot of money ... so I am rich now. Please invite me to your exclusive circle   😉

I almost wish I could join just for the sake of doing so now since it seems to offend so many other people. While I'm a great advocate for others following their dreams or freedom of choice, in this instance I don't actually share it. But I do wish the OP and anyone else interested in such a thing the best of luck, sincerely. :)

You know what, I have no issue with this or the request for other people to join. What I do have issue with is the negativity people love injecting for the sake of doing so. I'm not sure if it's under some pretence of attempting to appear witty, or the class clown to get a reaction, or to add to their post count, or just out of sheer boredom, or they really are that annoyed with such a simple request that they feel the need to reply. But the constant negativity is really pushing my buttons lately, so I'm taking a leaf out of the book of the neigh Sayers and speaking my mind too.

This is Second Life. If people want to log-in as a furry, that's okay. If people want to log-in as a child avatar, that's okay. If people want to congregate together in their child avatars or furries, that's okay too. But asking for rich women to come and congregate together? Oh hell no! Really? This platform of a virtual world is make-believe. To a large degree it's pretend; even the tag line says 'Your world. Your imagination'. So why the need to berate those who wish to explore that? What's the harm in allowing people to chase their fantasy and to attract other like-minded people, providing they aren't breaking the ToS or any local/state/country laws? What right do any of us have to laugh or demean or belittle someone who wants to pretend? It's not like many, if any of us, can log off and decide to be rich and wander into the nearest mansion and get to experience how the other half live in real life. Why is it so bad to do so here?

You know that whole saying; If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing? It's a shame more people in this world and the real one didn't take this to heart. The world needs more empathy and less sarcasm. If something offends you, walk away. Better yet, offer encouragement. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just as the OP is, and this rant here is mine. 🤬

While that is pretty decent advice for RL, these forums would be so boring if everyone followed that advice here.

Sometimes, watching the discussions here is so much better than any of the so-called "reality" TV shows - entertainment at its finest.

:D xD 😏

That's true. And I want to say "sadly that's true"... but sometimes I do get a giggle (and I know I shouldn't). I think I just expect too much from humanity sometimes :(

And all of this surely shows why I wouldn't fit-in to the country-club scene. But if they needed someone to pour drinks or dust their Ming vases I'm probably the right girl for the job. How else does one feel rich of they don't have the poor to compare to? 🤔🤨

I've posted this before, but it's worth repeating. Here's how you do it without needing anyone to compare against...

Stares at the video for half a minute, then starts skipping ahead in the clip, then sighs and stops it.

   Not violent enough.

Although I am quite fond of sarcasme (it's like a second language to me...) I do very much agree with this. Certain subjects, being it a specific kink, fetish, or whatever you want to call it always tend to end up getting a lot of judgement. Questions not meant to be inquiring questions, but sneers and judgmental remarks. Not very welcoming for new people or helpful.

As for this subject, it may come oer as elitism, and probably is, but if that's what they like? They are asking for like minded people n this subject. They are in no way judging non rich people. Even the op's replies to certain posts have been informative and polite.

To me it sounds like she is trying to create some sort of role play group for elitest women, who act rich and posh looking down their upturned noses at us regular folks.

It’s SL, somebody will tell you what you want to hear for a while and make your dream come true...

You are the one being narrow minded here really.

Op is looking for rich woman to join in a rich woman group. Shes not saying non rich woman are bad, poor people are evil or whatever.

This is like calling someone who wants to set up a group for Lady Gaga fans shallow (pun intended) because they only want Lady Gaga fans in that group. While they just as well might be in groups for other artists as well. Just for this group they are looking for Lady gaga fans only..

I try to create a small close group - social circle for "rich only" Ladies for socializing purposes ...if you are interested send me a notecard or im in game (voulaherb resident)

What is the purpose of wanting to have a "rich only" ladies group?

Do you mean rich as in RL or SL?

Are you looking for someone to filled your SL needs or your RL needs economically? Cause that what it looks like. But then again, it is SL. Anything is possible.

I do not really see why this is relevant to the topic of someone looking for like minded people to join a group. But something that always annoys me to bits, is "money wont buy happiness" and related oneliners like that.

Yes it is true, money will not buy you love, or friends or health. But being poor does not get you love or friends or health either. Your personality and character is what gets you love and friends. And your lifestyle generally influences your health. Money might influence your lifestyle or behavior, for better or worst, but that's still your personality deciding on that.

If people like to pursue wealth, let them. If you do not value wealth, that's your choice.

Whilst it's not my personal cup of tea, it's really not hard to understand why someone would want to act out the feeling of being in a rich, exclusive and super privileged group. It makes them feel superior; simple as that.

Someone told me recently about a user who apparently charged RL megabucks for her non voice, non cam textual intercourse escort services. How many clients she had, he didn't know, because she was a member of a vairy exclusive, invite-only group which cost ridiculous amounts to join. It really isn't hard to see why some people would be interested in setting up a group like that and being part of it. Even if you do nothing in the group, as long as you're being seen to be in it, it's serving its purpose. And hey, if it's so important that you're prepared to pay USD$250 for the privilege of sexting with someone who could well be Clive, the three-toothed trucker from Hull with the moobs like Jabba, that's your prerogative. Your world, your imagination.

I rather agree...having been on the bones of my arse in RL at times, I would say that anyone who says money doesn't buy happiness has never been poor. I do think, though, that there are limits to what it can buy, and past a certain point (which, to be fair, is probably still quite high), it won't make you happier.

I am happy if I can afford to buy a nice new dress for a friend's wedding. I am happier if I can afford to buy two or three new dresses and have a bit of choice and something different for the next wedding. I'm not any happier if I can buy 500 dresses while never having enough occasions to wear them all.

Anyway, John Norman hates wealthy women, so they must be doing something right.
