Bug with fast temporary rezzing

Someone, earlier this year, mentioned seeing a bug with fast temporary rezzing, as when a weapon shoots something. Anyone remember that?

 Today, someone with a sim that has bow hunting asked me why their sim was running slow. I took a look. With 6-8 avatars in the sim, everything looked fine. Plenty of spare time. Low physics load. 98-100% of scripts running. But bow hunting wasn't working right.

I tried a bow at a target range. Only about one in three arrows appeared on screen. But they all hit the targets and registered as hits. So the arrows were being created and shot sim-side. That part works fine. The viewer, though, apparently wasn't being told to display them. Strange. All the arrows use the same textures and geometry, so we know all the necessary assets had reached the viewer.

This is apparently a new problem. A few months ago, it didn't happen, I was told. And I agree. I practiced with that bow about six months ago and every arrow showed up.
