Coby Foden 16,301
I added bigger shallow pond on the backyard of my Winchester home. There's water all over the place, the inland big lake on the west side of the house, the long channel leading to the north in the front, the big swimming pool on the west side, and then the pond at the back. There is still room to add a creek on the east side - maybe someday. 😃
Chuckey Jigsaw 1,334
So I'm actually quite satisfied with the inside of my Shelley. For now that is. 😆 I also ran out of prims, so there's that too... 😂 Post will be picture heavy. The Entrance: The Purple Room: (Dysfunctionalitys FLF item made me do it..) The Kitchen: Little Laundry Room: The Red Room: The Black Room: I didn't include pics of the Bathroom because I'm not really pleased with it yet. Now that I'm "finished", I'm tempted to try the Hardy. 🤣🙈 So we'll see how long this goes well.

The complete thing I assembled from variuos items: 1. The water (very realistic, animated) is from here:Â https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Skye-Water-System-Natural-Water-Materials-Enabled/7483345 It's a bit expensive but the pack has many sizes for the water, so you can build lots of different sized ponds with this water pack. 2. For the sides of the water I just made a rectangular prim with a big hole in it. No need for bottom because the water will have texture in it for the bottom feature. So that will hide the land texture under it. 3. The rocky item (left from the fire) with small water feature is called "[DDD] Nanshe's Spring", creator: Anke Hatchuk. Main store:Â http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dysfunctionality/55/1/26 and Marketplace:Â http://mp.dysfunctional.space 4. The fountain is (hidden under the rocks, only the water sprouting up is shown): "fishy fountain (1 prim)", creator: Aley 4
Marianne Little 15,525
I have joined the dark side. I was releasing a Traditional on an alt. He got a new house after 10 minutes. Boats and campers on the page all the time. Not interesting. I suddenly felt that I just repeat what I do in the houses. So I found a 850 L, 1024 m plot Mainland. Gasp, the horror. But if there is a new theme in February, I can easy abandon that lot... 850 L was not much to cry over. I am sure I can set it to 500 L and have someone take it. It looks nice for Mainland, and I don't care if I am surrounded by full bright 2007-style castles tomorrow. It is not a place I will stay, and I can air my skyboxes then. 4

Trinity Aironaut 1,057
The 2 rooms upstairs in the Shelley are beautiful and unique. I created this bed to fit into the little nook of the bigger room, I'll use the smaller one as a bathroom  Edited January 6, 2020 by Trinity Aironaut 13

Elyeah 1,335
I am enjoying the landscaping, textures and general ambiance of the Victorian homes as much as I am enjoying decorating them. I am thinking of using the Doyle model next.

So I have shopped a bit too much. Found some very low Li that fits a grand style. A dinner chair that's 4 Li isn't heavy? But 4 of them is 16 Li, and I bought dinner chairs that's 1 Li each. 12 Li saved. 1 Li curtains, retextured. 1 Li grand piano. China cabinet with china inside, 3 Li. Chandeliers that's 2 Li. Paintings that's 0.5 li each - and link 2 so I get 2 paintings for just 1 Li. And so it goes. I also stopped using untidy mesh rugs that's often more than 1 Li, in favor of old school 0.5 Li convex hull prims that's linked. Victorians would not have untidy rugs anyway. And unlike mesh rugs, it is no risk of the Li going up when I stretch them It is a bit annoying to have so much unused things in my inventory. It is fun to shop, but when can I use what I have? Or maybe they have more to sell in an inworld store. I am mostly shopping the Marketplace because I can't log into SL itself every time I will shop....😇

Later they made a mesh version, i think LI went down to 2 ( without plants). I am not sure where the planter is at the sim, it used of be in front of the Orangerie  but they changed the sim completely last time i was there. You can try an area search, the name is : Culprit Old Standing Urn
Coby Foden 16,301
Sitting on the balcony add-on of my Winchester house I increased my view distance to whopping 1024 meters. Gradually things in the distance started to appear. And my fps started to drop to single digits - total slideshow with around 3 fps only. Anyway I was able to take the snapshot. The lighthouse in the distance is 656 meters away (about two and half regions away).

If you buy the right furniture you should be able to fill up your house to full. First thing you should invest in is all that bathroom furniture from LAQ Decor, its amazingly low prim if you can get your hands on it. they had a few other things i'd suggest as well.
