But when I started to experiment, I found out that I could nudge them together to form a L-shape. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/ROOST-Palm-View-Kitchen-Set/9798462 It is done by selecting faces and turn them invisible. There is not meant to be a dishwasher, so I set in a short section, selected the texture in the lower cabinet, turned it 100% transparent, and could then put in the dishwasher. In that orientation though it's perfect! The Barnacle doesn't have one of those double glass doors in the front but it does have windows. I've actually blocked off a little bit of them as they are floor to ceiling but I've added a little platform in the front for my study. So there's even more window than I have showing.
cicelydawn 463 Posted April 29 (edited) @Blush Bravin Lovely! The view from the corner windows of my Windlass sealed the deal. I'm sure I'll try them all at some point. Playing with small details while I mull things over. Most of the top step is within the boundary, enough to do something. Coby Foden 9,101 Posted April 30 I was wondering where the smoke from the sauna wood heated stove goes to? (There was no chimney.) To correct the weird situation I made a chimney with two linked convex hull prims. Now the smoke knows where to go. Yay! 😃 Awesome!

Blush Bravin 5,528 Posted May 1 (edited) Being fickle as I am, I decided I'd try playing with the continental but that was a quick trip into futility. I've seen a lot of really nicely decorated versions of this house but it just seems too visually cut off from outside, so I quickly went back to the Alderley. I have decided my favorite house of them all is the Alderley, which really surprised me cause I didn't like it at all when I walked through it at the preview region. So, I find myself once again decorating a Alderley. I'm keeping my koi pond. I love these koi from Jian and have had a pond of some sort for most of my time in SL. I've been wanting to add the architecture of a carport to my home. So I set about adapting my pergola patio into one. But after it was finished I realized I don't own a car and really don't have any desire to own a car in SL. But I do have bikes - lots of bikes. So I made it smaller and love the result I get with a bikeport! I tore out the old landscape and installed something new. The view to the water from my back terrace is lovely. I've changed up the inside as well. I'll show you in my next post. Edited May 1 by Blush Bravin
Blush Bravin 5,528 Posted May 1 The inside has changed in color scheme and layout. I still have my entry hall but where the bedroom once was is now my living room. I love the light in Belleseria. Just look at that bright morning sun streaming into my living room. My bedroom is where the bathroom used to be. I do have a bathing alcove in there but the rest of the bathroom fixtures are gone. I really only use the tub anyway! Somehow my kitchens always end up being my favorite rooms. And this time is no different. I love all the color and the feel of this space.

Please keep your sight seeing pics for the thread Patch started. This is just for showing off what you've done with your Linden Home and Garden. Here's my first entry. Of all the homes I looked at during the preview I told myself I'll never live in the Alderley. I just thought it was too small and I hated the layout. But I had a vision of what it could be and I couldn't be happier with it now. It's just surprising how much house this can be. So I'll start you off at my front door. The home now has a grand front hall with a view to the backyard. The waiting bench beckons you to the back of the house. On the left of the front door is the huge bathroom. The bath is so big the tub has it's own little alcove with a draped entry. I seriously could have a party inside my bathroom it's so large! Then out into the hall again and into the bedroom. My bedroom is so large that I even have room for a chaise. Moving back down the hall we come to the kitchen. The glazed french doors lead to the outdoor living space. And I'll show you what that's like in my next post as I've run out of room for more pics. where is that kitchen from? I love it!

I modded it some though to bring down the land impact. I removed the glass front upper cabinets and the dishes then replaced them with the regular uppers. That reduced land impact from 28 to 16. I also tinted the cabinets. 2
MiakisTheUsagi 8,220 Posted May 2 (edited) Spent most of the day, yesterday, converting the two roomed Adams Home, into a five roomed home. I used as much low impact furniture and decor as I could (currently have about 62 left) Most of the furniture is functional. Except the kitchen, and parents bedroom where it's just decorative. The bed in the parents room was originally an Anne Erotica 1LI 10L$ sex bed. I've retextured it and completly ripped out all the scripts. Marianne Little 7,841 Posted May 3 (edited) I don't remember if I posted my entry before? Anyway, I was "spying" on a neighbor. I often cam in and look at the furniture and decor. I saw this supercute "Stay a while" hanger, I had seen it before in some events advertissement. But I often forget/don't have time to visit. So when I saw it again, it was inspect -> teleport to sellers store -> buy. I then remember that had bought the cute "SL bus scroll" and used it to cover the control panel to the left of the door.
