What an impressive work, I love it!!!!!! Would you mind if I share a few ideas?  🤣🤣 I have never been a fan of the Verne, since it was too massive for me. But not that I am near a pond, it gives me an amazing view to it with all those windows. I was considering that option, and now that I see your home, it is growing on me!!!

May I ask where did you find your hanging fern baskets for your porch? Love your chicken coop too.

Well, first, sorry about the rough picture I uploaded the other day. I hope these come out better. This is my current work at the Verne, a model that despite being massive, gives a great view of the pond next to my parcel

So I figured I should probably take pictures of my place before hopping ship to the new log cabins. I'm more of a modern (or unique theme) kinda gal usually, but the Victorian landscaping was just too tempting. Also none of these pics have been edited because I definitely don't have time for that. Here we go!

The house is nicely fenced in with some stonework and hedges on one side, with a hill behind it. Directly to the west is the ocean!

In the front yard some plants have grown wild for an unusual but peaceful oasis

Most of my house is unusual, tbh

The side porch overlooks the deep blue sea

The entryway is filled with a bunch of plants and knicknacks

Thank the Lord for plants I can't kill

Really didn't know what to do with this nook/doorway so turned it into what I call the "Diabetes Corner"

The front room is a book hoarder's paradise. Oh, and more knicknacks. Please excuse the mess

Finishing up this crazy journey, we head in to the living room. More of a conversation spot with games and a focus on music

Then we head upstairs. In the second floor hallway I have a quasi office set up

The front bedroom has been turned into a creative art studio

Last and probably also least, the actual bedroom. Here is where you can tell I ran out of prims (and also just don't care too much about it atm)

It's been fun working with this Victorian. I was hashtag blessed by the location I got and haven't moved since opening day, but am looking forward to living in the woods!

A lighthouse warns of the rough waters, perhaps caused by the curses of the depths below:  A forgotten civilization.  The wreck of a ship carrying mermaid art.  And the surf so rough we had to shut the storm door to avoid a flood.  Take shelter inside.

Thank you! 😄 The stairway pile of books is from 8f8's Storyteller's Burrow gacha, 'Stairway to Knowledge'. The office chair is Trompe Loeil's Geostar gacha, 'Pacifica'.

Considering what is going out in RL, I have decided to open my Darromnan home for a while, in case someone needs a hideaway of reality. I have placed a couple of cushions in the porch, facing the pond, for people to meditate or relax a bit

I finsh my Verne slowly. I had a Hardy house in the Home and garden Expo, but I was looking at all the other houses. I think it was @Xia Xeviouswho had this half wall. I decided to copy it as soon as I saw it.

Then I didn't decide what furniture to use. I saw @Sakura Sandshad a new-to-me bathroom set. New things, I like that. Black Nest "Bleka" bathroom at kustom 9.

I found out that it was a bit too much black, so I used the sink and tub from Bazar, Maldives.

I think I like it. Not sure about the floor tiles. After I turned them 45 degrees, I like them better.

I posted the Verne pool a page or two back. I am never satisfied, so I tried something new. I raised the pool and added 3 more steps. Now the water comes up to my eyes instead under my waist. I can swim if I want. It is my head you can see in front of the green pool float.

I got a pergola with lower Li. Wood Pergola from True North designs. It was easy to apply the porch deck texture to it, so it matches. I did not let the pool surround go all out to the property line. (The end of the brick wall) I think that was an improvement, the furniture looked so small on the big deck. Since the pool is raised, I needed a security railing around 2 sides, and found out I did not want it at the front.

I like to cover the original porch steps, so I have 2 set of steps that match. I like wider steps too.
