Try having a little respect for others and mind your own business. This would include camming into their private space at a minimum, and would most certainly preclude walking into their house.  "Because nobody stopped me" is not a defense, anywhere.

What would I do?  See above.

If I repeatedly zoomed into the windows of other neighbours and, if the door wasn't locked, uninvitedly simply went into the home, I would think about a self-denunciation (abuse report here in SL with an ALT or "Submit a ticket" via browser). 😇

You thought to ask if you should file an abuse report on a person for having objects in their home you found issue with instead of questioning your own behavior? Objects that were behind closed doors. You even got a polite warning in chat you weren't welcome there. Clearly they took all possible precautions. You put yourself in this situation. I get we all are curious about how neighbors decorate their homes, but to ask if you should punish someone because you took it upon yourself to invade their private space is just wrong. I don't understand that at all.

Now that type of decor isn't my thing, but that is why my home isn't full of that stuff. I just mind my own business as long as others aren't breaking terms of service.

You all sound pretty sure that no one accidentally could cam into /end up behind "closed doors". May I ask how long you have been using this platform to make that assumption?

this is only true when you have done anything, in reason, to avoid others be confronted with adult content in a moderate region.
I seriously doubt that no action is taken when you have hardcore porn in your home , and visible from public land/neighbours when it is reported.

Yeah, it's like the RL. If you want to make children, you have to close all doors and windows and the garden gate and put up a sign in front of the house: Please don't zoom in ! *smirking

I often cam around people's houses to see their decor. I've seen some adult stuff and didn't really care. Only once was anything visible from the street.

A good rule of thumb that I follow: Don't cam in on houses that have somebody in it(or a green dot on the map/compass).

If anyone other than LL want to judge my home contents, my security or anything else about what I do in SL,  they can bloody well pay for it.  So thats 2 premium memberships, extra tier, a homestead and then we will start on clothes, hair and other purchases.

In this instance, we are discussing someone's admitted habit of peeking inside others' homes, and the admitted follow-up of barging into a home after seeing something "naughty" in there, and then the admitted desire to report said naughtiness. No assumptions are needed when the person TELLS us what they did.

I didn't admit "desire" I was just curious how other people here felt about it. (and I didn't name names or give URLs)

I now realize that even in a case of childporn most people here would tell me:

"It is no business of your's to take notice - even less to tell authorities - shame on you for camming!"

And why do I mention childporn? Because what shocked me MOST - more than the pictures - was the teddybear!

As to the "admitted habit of peeking" - I cam as much as I like ... simply because I CAN!

If it were against the Netiquette or the TOS there would be an option in the land menue not only to hide Avatars but to hide everything that is inside the house- but there isn't!

Caming through walls is like TP or flying (or pretending you were a woman while RL you are a man) - just one of these things you can do in SL and cannot do in RL ... and people WILL do!

Not a teddybear by itself - but a giant one in an empty house that's walls are plastered with hardcore porn!

And I didn't COMPLAIN - it didn't hurt me - I just wanted to know how these things are handeled in this community.
