The Linden Homes Photo Thread

Patch Linden

About add-ons: I saw a round gazebo on top or a house. It looked cool,  properly textured with LL panel.

It is not nice to take pictures of others houses, I guess. So I didn't. But it looked really, really well made. Wish you could see it. I used the camera, so I'm not 100% sure where it was. North/northwest in Ewallen or the sim next to it...

I am about done with my exterior add-ons and moving inside soon.   I have added a sheltered patio outside the French doors in back, a carport to the side (same multi-purpose build) and the front porch that I made on day one. So my house looks a bit different than the other 500 Winchesters LOL.

Lots of fun. I am going to take Sunday off and get on my bike (I have a super cool motorcycle from {what next} but I am NOT a good driver (more practice needed) and wander the roads. I am hoping to bike over to my friend's house on the other side of the continent.

Tomorrow may be living room design or I may tackle upstairs (both undone at present).

Wow Love Victorian this a add on or something you made.

Just some favorite items/parts I pulled out of my inventory and adapted with a few new purchases.

This is the last exterior until I can find appropiate shutters and iron roof ornaments to finish it up (and squeeze some more LI out of what's already been placed!):

THAT is exactly the home I had hoped to find!! Now at least I know what I am looking for! What region is it in? I only saw einther seaview and bare sand garden - or seaview and then a motorway and some rocks between me and the sea - OR the seview was there but my  balcony on the wrong sind. :(

It is in the  Fox Chase region. top north-east corner of the continent.

As is often the case, I didn't think about setting a higher graphics quality until I was almost done taking the pictures...  I decided to stay with the Continental style.  LI goes really fast - I generally have more 'clutter' type stuff, pictures on the walls and more landscaping.  Though it is a big improvement over what could be done with the original linden homes :)

This is what sold me on this style of home - the little landing area at the top of the stairs that was just the right size for a home office:

Love your calming colour choices and I lust for those fantastic flowers!  Which designer made them?

So generous of you to open this to the public because I adore the reading room and peaceful out door area.  Thanks!

I am getting on too. The front was rather bare, so I added the hedge on the right hand side, the pavement continuing to the front door and the wall - all out of the little package I got from my postbox. (glad I allready had taken that. The postbox doesen't work any longer!) ... AND the window boxes you had been talking about!

Unfortunately I couldn't squeeze my pool into this garden, so I took the magic pond (in which I CAN float) ...

I'm jealous of all the work getting done.  I've been working evenings this week (along with the regular day hours) and I'm leaving town tomorrow for a week's vacation.  Thus I won't be doing anything until the following weekend.

Enjoying all the pics though.

Seems like me and one of my neighbors figured that Winchester isn't big enough to satiate our needs at the same time. Now out of four houses on our tiny street not one looks the same.

I still need to fix some textures, put railings in place and, well, I am at the point zero figuring out what to do with the back porch.

Thank you! I like to collect flowers from all around, especially if they are not high LI.  Hydrangeas in milkcans are from Simply Shelby. Purple flowers in milk can is from The Artist Shed.  Potted plants on cabinet - tulips in pitcher from Dreamland Designs, peppermint plant from Shutterfield, orange orchids from Simply Shelby, green potted plant from Chic,  and tulips in clear vase from Kenzielogic.  Bue flowers in vase on dining table are from Simply Shelby.  Spiderplant upstairs in office area from Cube Republic.

Where are you finding the textures?

Mailbox for the siding and bricks. The other textures I baked in Blender. Baking to MATCH is NOT EASY LOL. Especially since I likely use a different 3D software program.

I spent a lot of my prims on my picket fence, two animesh horses, and a barn! As soon as I've finished it, I will be adding a temp horse rezzer so neighbors can "borrow" one of my horses and go on a trail ride around the continent :D

I decided to switch to the smaller "Adams" bungalow, in the interests of having enough LI to actually do something with the garden as well.

Built a front porch for it (and like it so much I stuck it in my MP store).

That looks lovely, Matty! Where did you find the roof texture? It's very well matched!
