The Linden Homes Photo Thread

Well being a lover of small houses, I decided the Winchester was too big for me. So I switched to the Adams.

I adapted the pergola patio to the front porch on the house and replanted my flowers. I walk right into my living room when entering the front door.

Just beyond the doors is the bedroom and bath.

On the other side of the living room is the kitchen and dining room.

I decided to make the back door come from the bedroom rather than the kitchen because it was a much larger space so dividing that room for a bathroom was easy. Through the back door is probably the biggest reason I downsized because I wanted something special. An ode to my childhood if you will!

I still have a lot of deco items that need to be placed. I have 110 prims left so I think it will work out nicely.

And now for my houseboat. I haven't done much with the outside yet so I'll take you right inside the front door.

As you enter you can go right into the bedroom area or down the stairs into the living area.

Right across from the stairs is the study area. Turn toward the kitchen and you find the lounge area.

Standing in the kitchen looking back at the lounge area you see the door to the new bathroom.

The bathroom is very spacious with a good size window.

But the most spacious area is the bedroom. I decided to make it the best room in the house since entertaining in SL seems to center around bedroom activities. :P

I've yet to really furnish this area. It will be a nice space with clear views to the water and a nice balcony overlooking the ocean.

I still have an amazing 195 prims left and I've not done any meshing yet. All my walls are made with standard prims. It will be interesting to see how much I can reduce by meshing.

When they come and pick up my trash, I have 30 LI available. To get the bathroom and carport, some sacrifices was made. No more veggie garden. But I got a white picket fence. Sorry, the provided fence one is too LI heavy. I use mine, unless the LL patrol come and file me a ticket for it.

I also combed my house for anything small that is 2-3 LI and can be replaced with 1 LI items.

Well the sea is not really near, the house is in the second row, but the houses  in the first row have the balcony on the wrong side

I've been doing the same thing, looking to see where or how I can scrape up a few more LI in order to put something else out :) .  All part of the fun and challenge of decorating.

Now that I've finished with the decorating part, I need to spend some time exploring around and find some of these community spaces.  Might be good to get the bicycle out.  One of the main appealing things for me, with this new continent, was having so many connecting streets around to travel around on.

ETA: not sure why there seems to be so much blank space at the end here which I can't get rid off.

Hi Neighbor!

I was wondering what you were doing next door. I didn't know you could put a business in a residential area.

Technically businesses are not allowed. Linden Homes are residential and the regions have Show in Search blocked at the region level. But if a someone wants to invite their neighbors over for coffee anytime... *wink-wink*

Edit: It's very cute and still looks very "homey" ;)

in case someone thinks billboard and vendors can be "homey"

My add on Pergola Porch is completely mod and easy to mod. I purposely didn't bake shadows on it so that people could do as they like in adapting it to their needs. I've used it with three different models of house and it's fun seeing how you can switch it up to still use it.

The Pergola is really very nice. Thank you for it.
I like it so much that I put it at the front entrance of the house, and also at the side entrance.

Hi Neighbor!

We aren't allowed to have business there and I do not have any = there is nothing for sell. Feel free to say hi to Albert, my butler, and grab your FREE coffee :)

Just ...do not open that door ... you will know which one ....

LOL I will check it out :) A neighborhood gathering for coffee sounds delightful!

I was already checking out your sighthound out front (I am the neighbor up the hill with the 3 greyhounds in her backyard :) )

And by the way, I adore your little closet .... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!

Thank you for making the Pergola Patio and the Bedroom Suite! I bought both tonight and already my house looks much nicer! Not nice enough to photograph yet, as it's still pretty empty, but still! Very happy to have additions custom-made for the Winchester. :)

Chillin on the lower deck of my houseboat on the boardwalk.  The TV works!  I'm playing Hockey Night in Canada from 1960's (youtube).  I am liking these new houses and areas very very much indeed!

We need deco texture packs for the houseboats!  Please texture creators start modding and Take My Money!

I built a glass platform deck off the back - I was experimenting but I'm sure you could extend it a lot further out.

Upper deck is my ditzy boho colourlight playground complete with puffle sheep herd.  This is fun!

OH and notice the nice light reflections in the water.  Pretty sure the lighting is working through the glass.    :)
