Well this is awkward. 😅

So I've more or less gotten everything up to date with my avatar, but now a certain something is missing. I know this is a sensitive topic for some, but I was wondering what you all think is the best place to get a male reproductive organ. Both performance wise, (yes, that kind of performance) as well as  what works best in terms of matching with skins, mesh bodies, etc. Any recommendations? From all genders are welcome of course, want to see what people from all parties have to say~

If this topic isn't allowed, please feel free to let me know so I can delete it, or a mod so they can.

Thanks in advance!

I'm bored, so why not.

In a nutshell...

I. Aeros is basically the Starbucks of SL. Also the most popular for some reason, even though it's No Mod.  It comes with a fair bit of options, but I find the HUD to be unnecessarily complicated and too overly fancy. If I have to squint at a HUD for several minutes trying to figure out what button does what, and then take additional time to refer to the extra manual that comes with it, then it's a hard pass for me. Once you actually find the part on the HUD where you can actually skin match the darn thing, then it's just a matter of clicking buttons.  I didn't fiddle around with it too much TBH. I'm not a fan of Aeros AT ALL in general and wouldn't personally recommend it, but if it speaks to you and you really REALLY want the porn star Dave look, then go for it.

2. Sensations is another pricey one ($L1500), but comes with oodles of features (as is standard for their products). It's not very realistic in terms of skin textures, but hey, if you just want something to show off with all the bells and whistles and piercings and vintage 80s neon lights and a gold plated chrome bumper strapped on for good measure, then give it a whirl (...or check out the demo HUD first to see what exactly you'd be getting into).

3. ♛ROYAL doesn't have a huge selection (all in the $L600-1000 range), but they have the second least complicated HUD. I mean, it gets the job done, and that's all that matters, right? Again, their skin textures aren't the most realistic, and it's kind of a finicky process to try and skin match. If you're not a perfectionist (like me) however, then this middle-of-the-road option will probably suit you just fine.

4. Virtual Artworks (VAW) has the one with the most realistic skin textures. It is the MOST realistic looking, in general. Their HUD is very straightforward and easy to use. Skin matching isn't terribly difficult; there's no optional color palate to choose your own tint (at least none that I know of), but it gets it pretty darn close. If you want something  not super fancy but functional, and still decent enough to look at (because let's face it, the only reason to purchase extra pixelated bits in the first place is because we're all visual creatures at heart), then I'd recommend this one, otherwise go with ♛ROYAL. Or, whatever your fanciful little heart desires.

Back to my cave now.

/me reads and rereads, wide eyed

Bells and whats? Neon lights? And gold-plated anything sounds at least mildly painful.

I am sure that this is all metaphorical. Except, I have a friend who says he has one that "helicopters." He's offered to show me, but I worry that he might find the far-off sound of giggling a little demoralizing.

O Brave New World, that has such attachments in't!

So just to add to what flowers said:

Rightly or wrongly, Aeros is considered the gold standard of appendage, to the point where it's almost become synonymous with male parts. So if you're going to go with another brand (which is a perfectly legitimate choice), be aware that Aeros is the measuring stick against which you'll be compared. I have no idea if the other three brands mentioned measure up (heh) to Aeros or not, they might be even better!

Aeros also has this cool feature where your partner can click it and get a HUD that looks like yours. You give them permissions through your menu, and they can angle your dangly bits just like you but cannot change any of the shape/size settings. Which is useful for... academic reasons? Okay so not that useful for most people.

Whatever you do, don't get anything that talks in nearby chat, ever. Please.

I would like a job travelling SL resizing them all to realistic proportions

Also, depending what sort of look you're going for (or what you're into), I would recommend SKNK by Tokeli Zabelin. There's plenty of human options, some even bento-rigged. Personally I prefer the smooth/cute Verpas series over anything like the overly detailed Aeros. Your mileage will vary, especially if your body skin does not match the "cute and smooth" style.

Yeah like a 50% reduction ray gun...... 😛

I don't have much experience *coughs* but the ones I've seen at the nude beaches (where I'm never walking about naked by the way), are laughably enormous........

Guys.......at least make it realistic in size...............huh?

A small correction here: you can adjust the permissions given with the partner HUD prior to it being given, and the options include a little bit more than just editing the angle of dangle ;) And it can be very useful for adjusting on the fly (as it were) in cases where furniture animations are built for avatars of specific sizes, when you and your partner are not those sizes. (Trust me: prior to the now delightfully-prevalent animated furniture for m/m pairings, most of us had to adjust m/f poses and poseballs, which are usually designed for a big guy and a smaller woman. We're rather used to that fine-tuning now...)

I've only been on the, er, receiving end of such a HUD, so I've learned something new today! :)

Lots come with piercings options. Furry ones come with spiny bits. The possibilities are endless. And gross.

Well, the aesthetics of it are, of course, a very personal thing, and I make no judgements. Personally, I'd draw the line at things designed to cause discomfort or pain, as I understand (for instance) the feline male genitalia are designed to. My heart goes out to female cats everywhere.

Mostly, though, I think it would be enormously amusing to watch the thing doing animated acrobatics. It might not be very erotic, but sometimes a bit of comic relief is a welcome respite.

Do they come in Animesh yet!

Don't ask a question when you already know the answer ...

That’s what is causing the tp issues. Too many Animesh Bento thinguses. Luckily you can only wear a max of 2.

but when you use a limb per "add on"....

2 arms + 2 legs + 2 hind legs + 2 wings + 1 head/tongue + 1  tail = 10 tentacle thingies per animesh

wear two and you have Cthulhu down there :D

   Two words: ducks & vipers.

As for the topic, back when I was looking to uh, complete my anatomy, I was directed to Aeros. The functionality is generally good, but it does spike your complexity and script usage - so it's a good reason not to run around with your bits when out and about. Before then I've just had sculpted bits that didn't 'do' anything, so getting an Aeros felt very high tech.

It's as with anything else though. Demo what you can, find whichever suits your purposes and aesthetics best.
