Wondering if I can get money back from a transfer I did not make?

This morning I woke up to find out a transfer had gone happened with out me knowing or allowing.

I am wondering if there is any to get this back or if it is gone.

How did it happen without you doing it unless you have paid an object at that location.

Do you recognise the location and do you know what the object is?

That name is for a L$ exchange, were you buying Lindens there?

I have never played this game before, and yes I think it was an object I have this xchange4ls Wallet v1.0.2 when I woke up it asked me if I wanted to let it access my blance and I said no, but this was after the money was already gone. I have tried to get a hold of someone at this exchange but no one is there.

They appear to have inworld offices at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Daxos/212/155/23 and they have a website on http://xchange4ls.com/ which seems to have quite a lot of info on it, especially if you click "More Info" button. There is also a Contact Us link at the bottom of the page there. So check there to make sure you did everything right and contact them if you need help.

 

They are listed on the approved exchanges page http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/L$_Marketplace so if you do have any problems with them contact LL as described on that page and they can be removed from the list.

could you somehow have sold the lindens you bought? check your paypal, bank account or western union account (the account you gave them) to see if the amount has been transferred back. it may take a few days, tho, but i would keep an eye on that. buying/selling can take 24 hrs it says on their website, so that could have happened while you slept.

Maybe the wallet wanted to access your balance to put the money in there. Read up on what the wallet is for, could be the money is in it.

You were right to say no if you weren`t sure, always better to be safe when something is asking to access your balance.

I never had an account with them, so they would have no where to send the money. I did make a account later today in case this would happen. I just found the whole issue odd. It's not very much money, but I would still hope they will work something out. Thanks for everyone's input.

How could that happen? Is that a place you actually rent? Is it an automatic device you've clicked on?

i see. ok. yes that is very odd. do you know how you got a hold of the wallet if you never set up an account with them?

@Bee from what I saw on their website they don`t actually have accounts, but I didn`t read the whole site to see what the wallet does.

 

@OP I don`t think you have been scammed or anything, its probably just a mixup over how it all works, contact them and they`ll sort you out
