Im terrible at naming stuff... but two that come to mind:

Vague Magazine

FAP (Forumite's Awesome Photo's)

Nooo not FAP. LOL

In bastardized American English FAP is a term for male "self-gratification" ...if you get my meaning. Often written as "fap-fap or "fapping". Bahahahahaha!

But Vague Magazine is fun because of it pun-ish and a play on the Vogue Magazine name. :D

Yeah I know ;)

Funny thing, that expression leaked over across the pond and though it is basically English, its quite commonly used here now as well.

I like "Vague". That's a clever touch.

I'd thought of "Smee" (its me), and that led my brain on to the purely invented word "Esselmee" (SL-Me).

As far as I know, Smee  only means a type of duck - nothing rude!

So far what i gathered for name suggestions is as follows:

Vague Magazine

FAP  (Forumite's Awesome Photos) - (Although i gather we wouldn't use this after what was pointed out lol)

FTW  (Forumite's Takeover the World)

Smee (it's me)

YAM (Yet Another Magazine)

SLAM (SL Another Magazine)

Avatart's

If I've missed any so far please point it out and keep them coming.

No apostrophe, otherwise it becomes a possessive. (Sorry, but the editor in me cringes when I see the grocers' apostrophe!)

As an addition, I wouldn't want to go with 'Smee' because that the name of Captain Hook's bo'sun in Peter Pan.

My vote would be for Vague Magazine.

I picked that one up after I posted, as so often is the way!

My derivative, EsselMe, or maybe (like "You!" magazine) just "SL Me!", would be more acceptable?

And there's me thinking that I'd bought a really good translator 😬

I like how SL Me! looks, but will it not sound like "Sell me!"?

Not that it's wrong, of course...

I kinda like Vague myself.

But then here's another couple:

   Virtual Vanity

   A SLeasy Mag

   Pixelated

All My Prim Parts (not strictly accurate, but still)

And the title can always have a sub-title/tagline, even a tagline that changes issue to issue.

Like:

Vague: What I am really doing when I ignore your random TP offer.

Virtual Vanity: SL Fashion for Inquiring Minds

Smee: I've just had an apostrophe!
Hook: I think you mean an epiphany.
Smee: No - lightning has just struck my brain!
Hook: Well, that must hurt.

Vanity Fare

Fare = a range of food.... i.e. 'dishes'

Just sayin. (While I have a signal) :)

That's crafty! Unfortunately, far too crafty for all the people still eating potato's and tomato's. (Thanks, Skell, for chucking that one in in a little earlier!)

mm..... maybe its time to go back to the drawing board. I think I've flogged that line as far as it will go.

Second Me? No, I don't need support at the moment, thank you!

SL I'm Me? Ugh!

Yep! Dead in the water, as they say. 😞

I don't have a concrete suggestion for a name (as yet: I'm thinking!). But it should, to my mind, allude to the forum in some way? The web is replete with SL-themed fashion blogs and Flickr pages: it would be nice to distinguish it from those, and underline the degree to which the mag would be about this particular community.

Sorry, not very helpful, i know . . .
