Log in, select Me->Preferences->Setup (I think) and find where it says cache location. Click 'Reset' next to the field, log out and log in again. Open your inventory, press Recent and then wait for the inventory to load fully as shown by the number above the inventory. It will show just the number of items when it is loaded.

You should find the missing items back after this.

How did you clear the cache? Only via preferences or also directly on the file system?

I would recommend clearing the cache manually. The automatic  cleaning feature often works not flawless thus resulting in not all  cache files deleted. So you should clear the cache manually and let SL  load the inventory completely new. The best way to do so is:

  1. In  SL, go to a lag free sim like Aqua
  2. Open the preferences  (CTRL-P) and there the Network tab (on the left)
  3. Note the cache  location path shown on the right
  4. Close preferences and exit SL
  5. Open  a file manager like Windows Explorer
  6. Navigate to the cache path  noted in step 3
  7. Delete ALL contents in that folder
  8. Start  SL again and login. The inventory will be loaded directly from the LL  servers.

Sorry SyndraJade. You're right, I didn't read your message properly. Ansariel has a more complete method for emptying cache which is worth trying if that is not the way you emptied it.

I'm wondering - and I'm suggesting this because I frequently do it myself - if there is any chance you could accidently have dropped the folder you're missing on to another folder? Many times I have had to search for items I've missed, and found them in a different location than I expected.
