If your items were returned to you, it's likely that they were returned to you as a "coalesced" object. Look in your Lost & Found folder for an object that looks like a group of cubes/objects. It will have taken the name of one of your items. Find someplace where you can rez objects, away from any property lines. Rez the coalesced object and your items should appear in positions relative to how they were positioned before they were returned (i.e., if they were five meters apart, they will rez five meters apart).
