If you are in Basic mode on the viewer, you can teleport using the destination guide. If you logout and log back in on advanced mode you will have several other options too. Such as Landmarks in your inventory, search features and a map.

Hello Billy. The best way is to use the Destination Guide . Also better to log in Advanced Mode in Viewer 2 because if you are in Basic Mode you can teleport only to a variety of preset destinations in Second Life. Have fun.

Walk, fly, teleport to landmark, look in search and teleport, use the world-map and teleport, accept a teleport invitation from someone else.  Those are the 'built' in ways.

Using SL objects you can also swim, drive, sail, catch a train, take a plane, horse-drawn carriage or other means of transport.

.SL has over 30,000 sims, or land-areas, some are private and some have other restriction entries so you will not be able to enter them.  Within each sim there are often different 'places', certainly several buildings
