How to select an object that's inside the floor

Question

I was adjusting a rug's position in my SL home and It ended up literally inside the floor and now every time I try and select edit on it, I end up just selecting the floor. Am I dumb? lol.

I just want to move this dang rug! 😧

This section of the forum is for feedback about the forum itself, so your post doesn't really belong here. General Discussion might have been a better place to put it.

That said, use the camera controls to cam down into the floor and grab the rug from inside it.

next to the most used option as Skell adviced,  as second option, use area search, you can edit the object directly from that window

Well I've never used this and it said "Forums, Answers and Knowledge Base Feedback Only" Not very clear.

But regardless, I tried that and I'm only able to select the floor :)

Here's the link to the TOP of the Forums where, in the future, you can probably find a more appropriate section for your questions.  https://community.secondlife.com/forums/

I suggest working on your camming skills - they can help lots in SL.

And if you just can't seem to get the hang of it, you can download the Firestorm viewer, which will give you the ability to temporarily derender an object, making it easier to select things inside floors, walls, etc...

feedback only means comments on those parts of the website, not for questions about inworld issues  :)

Area search is also handy for cleaning up a sandbox or other area where you have rezzed a bunch of stuff you need to remove, just search for things owned by you and then return  them all  to yourself.
