Gift purchases on Market Place

I have been trying for over a week now to purchase a gift on Market Place, when it gets to the last page, to pay, the person's name is not there and it sends the item to me, not the gift reciepiant

According to the Grid Status page LL is still investigating issues with MP gift orders.  You should probably file a Support Ticket under Marketplace -> General Marketplace Issues for further assistance.

This is a known issue, if there are things you really want gift to someone. Until the marketplace gets fixed,  see if you can find the item in the sellers inworld store if they have one,  lots of stores will have vendors that allow gifting

The same thing is happening to me it shows the person name im sending it to but I get it instead of them and will we be getting the lins back from the items

yes, thats why people pointed several times to the grid status reports. It's not solved yet, so don't use it.
