i have put this here before but i removed it due to shyness im an odd ball never really sure what to say at times i tend think im funny & fun to be around least i hope i am lol i dont do too well with text at all i use voice  alot im a mesh builder a sim landscaper & a shopping addict im far from new to sl even though my profile says 3 months  old i have spent all my sl since 2006 alone and no one to chat with and i feel if i can make some new friends i would enjoy sl alot more

   Well, I don't want to be mean - and you do mention not doing too well with text - but some punctuation would make it a lot easier to read. I'd also advise you to expand a little on who you are and what interests you have. 'Shopping' is an interest for 99% of the people in SL, it doesn't say a whole lot about you. 

   The whole purpose of writing a classified to meet people is to give them something to connect with, all you've really said is that you're shy and that you've been lonely. It might garner some sympathy, but you probably don't want friends based on people who think that they're doing you a favour by contacting you. You need to present something which can be a conversation starter - and sure, you might spark a conversation or two about landscaping or building; but my empirical conclusion from my experience is that builders and landscapers can be pretty finicky to socialise with as they tend to be busy and concentrated on whatever they're working on, and that they're almost always working on -something-, in large part due to 'friends' having them build something for them. Seriously, the moment you let it be known that you know how to snap to the grid, people will ask you to come help them put up paintings or furnishing their SL bathrooms (with which snapping to grid is pointless anyway because their house is 0.234 meters off centre and rotated by 2-6 degrees on -every- axis for reasons a mystery to mankind). 

   Do you like music? If so, what kind music?

   Do you like movies? If so, what sort movies?

   Do you like literature? If so, what kind?

   Do you like cats? ... Well, good for you I guess. 'Cat People Unite' behind what bleeping common interest but reminiscing about how flopping adorable their 'fuzzy overlords' are. Bleh.

   Do you like sports? If so, what the H*ll is wrong with you?

   You could also attach a picture of yourself, because as they say, a picture says more than a thousand words - in SL it's mostly so that mesh snobs can steer clear of 'inferior avatars', but it'll also give a sense of aesthetic direction, fashion sense and I suppose could start a conversation going something like 'oh em gee I luvv dem shoes - wanna be friends?'. Or something like that. I guess. I don't know - people are weird. 

   In short - more content, less explaining. Everyone knows why someone would go out to find friends. What would make you an interesting person to befriend?
